KILLED IN ACTION 10/25/2006
An anniversary will tomorrow that many of us will not realize. It falls on a Thursday this year and it will be a typical Thursday for most. But for a select group of people, including myself, it will mark a six year anniversary that will never get any easier. See on October 25th 2006 Lance Cpl. Daniel B. Chaires was killed in Al Anbar Province, Iraq . I had the honor of serving with his Father, Retired LCSO Captain Harry Chaires. I cannot begin to imagine what it must be like to lose a child; especially one to the violence and harshness of war. I found this video and I thought it was a nice tribute to Daniel, and all his fellow Marines that have given the ultimate sacrifice protecting our freedoms for the past 236 years.
