COT: Full speed ahead  At Wednesday's meeting Commissioners made it clear that the opinion of focus groups, student government, business associations, and citizens do not matter.  They and their staff planners know what's best for us all.  Tennessee Street narrowing is on.  Did we mention that there's an election this Fall?

Speeding cops report spawns investigation  Florida Governor Rick Scott has ordered that a task force be assembled to look into the reasons why law enforcement officers are given a pass on speeding violations which result in crashes, at times with deadly results.   Speeding cops task force

Drug testing state workers doubtful  Too many GOP lawmakers have doubts as to whether or not it would pass a Constitutional test.  As of now the effort, though technically alive, is dormant.

Privatized prison healthcare anyone?  The efforts have been very below surface, but not now that lawsuits blocking the proposal have been filed. 

Youth dumping Obama  Here's the skinny...66% of young voters went with Obama in 2008; now that same group has another opinion with only 31% supporting him. 

Santorum, Romney to skip debate  The two GOP frontrunners for the Presidential nomination will not take part in the CNN Georgia debate.  Can you blame them?

Sheriffs buy plots to keep killer dad away  Most know the story...so, we'll just opine that the act by these law officers is really cool.
