The Stories

Earthquake!  In Georgia?  Yes, it's true and it was enough to wake folks near the Tennessee border.  Go figure.

President "skeet shooting" is ridiculed  The photo shows a guy who "looks" like he is not too comfortable shooting a gun.  Funny that the WaPo is doing a fact check on whether or not he has actually done a lot of shooting at Camp David as he has claimed.

EPA ignores court ruling  Not much of a surprise that one of the agencies that President Barack Obama turned loose is completely disregarding a Federal Court ruling on biolfuels.

Video shows gun rights abuse  A Citrus County (think Homosassa Springs) man has become a video sensation after Sheriff Deputy threatened to shoot him in the back and then arrested him.  The guy has a concealed carry permit.

"Finish in Four"  Gov. Rick Scott is pushing a plan to hold tuition for the four years a student is in college if they graduate in four years. Clever.

Wounder Warrior Project rejects donation  The reason?  The donation came from a church.  This makes for a second startling development for the organization.  The first, if you recall, was that they are anti-gun (despite having no issue receiving lots of cash from shooting events).

Jet lag solved  We always heard that the best way to defeat the travel blues was to sit out in the sun as much as possible on the day of arrival.  Turns out there's something to it.

Most distrust US government  The study, which compares data going back a couple of decades, shows that citizens view the government a threat to personal rights.

Super Bowl ads 2013  Were there any absolute winners?  Looked to us like this year's spots were pretty lame.

Super Bowl ads that got banned  Yeah, these ads did not manage to get past the Standards & Practices Department of various networks for various reasons.  Some of the commercials were cut from Sunday's 2013 game.
