 William Michael Dillon 121312

The Guests

Dr. Andy Borom, Surgeon, 7:08 AM  The Cato Institute offer an analysis of why Florida ought to sit it out.  Our "resident" expert is a local orthopedic surgeon who will go even deeper to explain what is coming our way.

William Dillon, Mark Schlakman, 8:08 AM  Mr. Dillon is a promising singer and, oh by the way, a Florida "exoneree".  That means he spent 27 years in prison for a crime that DNA evidence proved he did not commit.  He will likely receive a full pardon on Thursday from the Governor and the cabinet on the clemency board.  Mr. Schlakman has been is pro bono legal representation in the process and a member of the Florida Innocence Commission.

The Stories

Google: Proud of tax avoidance  It's amazing how capitalism looks to a liberal who is benefiting from every single tax loophole available.  What makes this story sickening is how this story would be covered if it were, oh say, Bain Capital and Mitt Romney.

State debt dropping fast  This is a huge success for Governor Rick Scott.  The austerity measures he has undertaken have strengthened state reserves and is taking nearly 10% chunks of debt down annually.

Florida DOE down to three...err, one  We could reach and try to suggest that in the spirit of the season the next Commissioner of Education would be one of three wise men, but then we would be guilty of...something.  However, the three remaining candidates were all guys and Tony Bennett

County looking at "arts' funding  As previewed Tuesday on TMS, some big tax dollar decisions were made during a workship by County Commissioners.

Florida Senate takes TMS idea state-wide  It was recommended to Senate President Don Gaetz to make it easier for citizens to offer input on the future of ObamaCare in Florida and to allow folks to know more about the committees involved and when they meet.  It would seem the Senator liked the idea.

Big Foot spotted in Big Bend  That's the claim by some locals who say their footage has been validated by the TV show "Finding Bigfoot".  By the way, the sighting took place in Liberty County.
