The Guests

Florida Senate President Don Gatez, 7:08 AM  The pressure is on.  ObamaCare is coming, but what will Florida do?  Will the state bend to the complete power of the law or will Florida stand with nearly two-dozen states and use a loophole to back out? Meanwhile, the Governor signs on to meet with President Obama with other GOP Governors to talk healthcare.

Dr. David Hartz, Optimum Health, Natrually, 7:45 AM  Our efforts to get you to get your body feeling better by getting to possible causes as opposed to symptoms continues with foods that hurt.

U.S. Congressman Steve Southerland, 8:08 AM  The pressure is on. (Hey, we wrote that already).  Well, it fits...this time the GOP controlled U.S. House is getting whipped into shape by Speaker Rep. John Boehner.  The problem is that he is losing control of the party as conservatives are standing their ground on how to deal with the fiscal cliff.

The Stories

Detroit  City Council member demands bailout in return for election support.  Meanwhile, the city is coming unhinged.  Think of Gotham City when the weird gas got dispersed in Batman Begins.

Egyptians force new President to flee palace  Mohammed Morsi (or Mursi take your pick) has been forced to run as protesters showed up in huge numbers.  Morsi recently decreed that he had complete power and not everyone agreed.  There's hope, citizens.

State Senate gets an earful  The committee responsible for crafting a response to ObamaCare for the Senate had a less than warm welcome.

Catch, release, replica  Would you keep or let go that once in a lifetime largemouth bass?  A state program is hoping you would.

FSU's Fisher talking another "new" deal?  His contract was just renegotiated and now the school and its head football coach are going through the process again?  Hey, we like the guy...a lot...but this seems silly.

Florida High School grad rate horrid  Anyone want to finally do something about this problem?  Let us know and we'll steer you to solutions.  Here's a hint...it won't require MORE money.

Gelber's Op/Ed  First, he was complaining about "voter suppression" and the dastardly Republicans.  Now, he's lobbing a few more mortars over the fence, however some of them are worth considering.

Florida voting STILL an issue  The Democrats have chosen to make it the issue of the year.
