The Guests

Steve Stewart, Candidate, Seat 1 City Commission  It's been a tempestuous campaign for Mr. Stewart who has tried to stay on point on the issues.  We'll talk over some of the low points of the campaign and spend time looking at his ideas for Florida's capital city.

Tim Graham, Media Research Center  NatGeo Network will air a special made-for-TV docu-movie on the tracking and killing of Usama bin Laden.  The MRC Director of Media Analysis will offer a case for not airing the program until after the election.

Amber Hughes, Legislative Advocate, Florida League of Cities  Amendment 4 is in the crosshairs for cities and counties state-wide.  They're desperate to convince you to turn down the amendment that will cap their revenue on property tax.

The Stories

Sandy hits east coast  The "perfect storm" of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Sandy plus a nasty nor'easter equals a disaster in the northeast.  Death toll climbing to 39, more likely.

The "shove"  The story goes that at a press conference last Friday City Commission candidates Steve Stewart and Scott Maddox ended up within a few feet of each other.  WCTV was there and our host, a former sports videographer, will explain what's on the tape.  You can see it for yourself.

Should the City bus voters to polls?  It's an interesting question.  StarMetro will be running routes to get voters to the polling centers on election day and select routes during early voting.  Let's put this another way...your tax dollars are paying for the free ride.

Trust?  The President?  In the home stretch the President is tossing the ultimate falsehood...that voters can trust him to do what he says.  We might agree that there are some things he has delivered on: fundamentally transforming our nation, wrecking the coal industry, instituting a mandate on health care.  However, this brillaint essay offers another view of his promises.

LucasFilm goes Disney  The price tag was a tad norht of $4 billion.  The pay-off?  How about Star Wars VII (yes, our young padawan...another episode comes).

Fascinating story behind the picture  Here's a hint...when it comes to things Tweeted, posted, blogged, etc. Not everything is what it appears.  There's much more than meets the eye to this photo (which is viral - much to the chargine of this young lady)
