We have all seen it...the great and mighty Wizard of Oz was bellowing; barking out reprimands and edicts.  The smoke, the flames, the sheer immensity of the moment was only matched by the size of Oz himself. 

Then, Toto grabbed the curtain and pulled it back.  Suddenly, Oz was not so great and mighty.

Today's program spent an hour looking behind the curtain.  Specifically, we spent time talking with Peter Schweizer about the federal food stamp program and how J.P. Morgan is profiting from it.

Each and every one of you should become well-versed on this subject because it provides one of the best examples of government programming being influenced by big business in a manner that is costing us billions.  I think you will find the segment illuminating and infuriating all at once. 

There are simple solutions to strongly cut the fraud and abise in the food stamp / EBT Card program.  Peter suggested that you take a look at Twitter and #EBT or #Food Stamps.  The marketplace of fraud is alive and well.  The fix is putting a picture on the EBT card.  With a photo ID on the card fraud is almost completely eliminated.  So, you have to ask yourself...why not do it?  The answer speaks to the smoke and flames and bluster of Oz.
