The Guests

Dr. Joe Camps, Dr. Phil Sharp, TMH  Breast cancer was the topic with some good information for ladies who may be concerned.

Leila Hilal, New American Foundation  Ms. Hilal will give a talk on Monday (at two times and locations) entitled “Beyond the Rhetoric of Presidential Politics: Placing Recent Events in the Middle East and North Africa in Context.”  Whew.  That was a load, but it's the perfect primer for the final Presidential debate which will take place tonight and focus on foreign policy.  Certainly, there will be plenty of time spent on Libya.

The Stories

I-4 corridor papers go Romney  Friday it was the Orlando Sentinal to throw its endorsement behind Gov. Mitt Romney for President.  Over the weekend the Tampa Tribune did the same.  Old adage: The road to winning Florida runs through Interstate 4.

Three dictators give the nod to Obama  Here's a badge of honor for the sitting President of the United States.  Chavez, Castro, and Putin have all thrown their endorsement to Barack Obama.

Gallup vs. history  Here's an interesting look at the Presidential races going back to the mid-70's and where the eventual winner has been at this stage in the race.  Hint: Romney looks to be in good shape.

Green-energy failures  The larger picture is disturbing as the President has funneled billions to his buddies in the green sector and cost taxpayers dearly.

Obama Campaign borrows $15 million  According to reports filed with the FEC the campaign has had to resort to borrowing some cash.  Repayment is due with eleven days of the election.  Meanwhile, campaign surrogate Sandra Fluke drew a crowd of 10 people for a stop in Reno, Nevada.

Muslim "video" maker gets court date  Here's the punchline - it's three days AFTER the election.  Anyone want to bet he is released?

Timeline in Libya  The President is running, no fleeing, from the truth about what happened to Ambassador Chris Stevens.  This does not help his cause...err flight.

Poverty  One of our favorites, Dr. Walter Williams offers some great insight into the mentality of poverty.

Advance: Schweizer story grows  We broke the news on TMS, THEN it went to FOX News, etc.  The story on Obama fund raising is spreading and could be a problem for the President.

Drone showed Benghazi while U.S. leaders "watched"  According to former CIA members, our government officials could have sent help much sooner.

Gannett selling off bits and pieces  It's smart business.  It's also a harbinger of things to come.  When, oh when, will the local paper be forced to downsize.  Word is the staff is rattling around inside the space, circulation is struggling.  We wonder when or if someone will try to put an alternative into print.

Local paper proving why it's irrelevent  This is the danger in staking out an obvious bias in coverage...you lose, one subscriber at a time, readers.  In this case the local paper ignored two events at the State Capitol, focusing instead on Zombies.  However, if you dig you will see a few photos from the Women for Romney Rally.

Chris Matthews: Unhinged  The guy actually claimed it is unconstitutional to challenge President Barack Obama in the debate.
