Peter Schweizer is a friend of my show; more importantly he's a friend to you and every other citizen of this country. Why? Because he digs and he digs where most people have no appetite to get their shovels in...the manure field of America - government and politics.
He first broke the story of Washington insider trading that was perfectly legal. Now, it's less perfectly legal. His book, "Throw Them All Out" prompted a 60 Minutes feature and some watered down legilation, but it was a start.
It also led to the formation of the Government Accountability Institute where TMS former producer Eric Eggers now calls home. But, as we all know...there's so much fraud and ethical lapses in government. So, we now have a new site.
Campaign Funding Risks is hot and brand new. There's a watershed report primarily dealing with the Obama campaign, though Romney's efforts get dinged a little. But, as is always the case, Obama takes things to another level and word on the street is that this report (which is out right now) by Schweizer and his team could prove to spell real trouble for the President.
Peter will join me soon to discuss - it's good to have friends, isn't it?
