Local reaction to County millage increase buried
It's kind of interesting that with all of the letters-to-the-editor about the property tax increase, the story on the meeting where local business owners showed up got literally buried.  A-G-E-N-D-A...

Leon County now requires sand mine fencing
A tragedy has given our local government an emotional excuse to add to the cost of doing business in Tallahassee for one industry.

Bay County to LOWER millage
County Commissioners decided to go the low road and get lean and mean.  Granted, there are some differences between Leon and Bay counties, but the point is that one went up, one went down. BTW: Don't all counties have state mandates to fund?

Florida over-billed Medicare
The state was audited with five others.  The result?  Nearly $1 billion in overcharges in three years; $374 million was Florida's alone.  Still like the idea of government running health care?

Supply and demand?  Drilling talk?  Both?
Oil continues to drop which may eventually find its way to the gas pump.  Operative word is may.

Thomas Sowell...Genius!
While we continue our efforts to get this guy on the show, take a read.  Not one, but two articles worthy of your attention.
