What Is Florida Roundtable?
Florida Roundtable, with hosts Reagan Smith and Al Spry, is a weekly, one hour, in-depth roundtable-style discussion of state, national, and international issues and events affecting the state of Florida. “Florida Roundtable” features the sharpest minds in the political, historical and cultural spheres, as well as world-famous authors, political and business leaders from around the state.
Past guests include Governor Rick Scott and past Governors, Congressmen including Alan Grayson, Daniel Webster, Adam Putnam and Allen Boyd, Vice President Dick Cheney, Senator Mel Martinez, DEP Secretary Michael Sole, political commentators Michelle Malkin and Rhodes Cook, and former Governor Jesse Ventura.
“Florida Roundtable” is currently syndicated on over eighty stations across the Sunshine State and originates from our flagship station, AM 540 WFLA in Orlando, where it may be heard at 9 p.m. Saturdays. It's also featured on other stations in Orlando, including 107.7 WMGF Sundays at 10 p.m.

About The Hosts...
Reagan Smith
Reagan Smith hails from Cleveland, Ohio. He received his B.A. and M.A. in Political Science and History from Cleveland State University. He has served as a News and Public Affairs broadcaster in Orlando since 1980. Reagan was News Director and morning anchor at WDBO, WJYO-FM, WSSP-FM, WMGF-FM. He spent 25 years on the Florida News Network as morning news anchor and public affairs director, as well as the creator and co-host of the syndicated political talk show "Florida Roundtable" - now in its 18th year. He is now Public Affairs Director for Clear Channel Radio, Orlando. In addition Reagan has served as co-host of the “Smith and Riley Program”, central Florida's only hour-long program devoted to the fine arts; more information at www.smithandriley.com.
Al Spry
Al Spry was born in Brooklyn, New York. He received his A.A. in Radio and Television Arts from SUNY Orange State and a B.A. in History from the University at Albany. He began his broadcasting career in 1998, and has served as a music announcer and promotions assistant with WHTQ-FM, WMMO-FM and as a reporter and producer with WDBO-AM in Orlando. Al is currently Director of Affiliate Relations for the Florida News Network, the Alabama Radio Network, and the Virginia News Network. He is also the Production Director for FNN, and serves as the executive producer and co-host of "Florida Roundtable."
Al and his wife Yvonne have resided in the Orlando area since 1997. |
